Why do we need Rulemapping?
Empowering Progress
Rules shape the way we live together—across government, business, and society. At the same time, businesses lose billions through outdated, paper-based processes, public administrations struggle under obsolete regulations, and courts face ever-growing case backlogs. In Germany alone, bureaucratic inefficiency drains 146 billion euros in economic output every single year.
Law as Code
That's where Rulemapping comes in. Instead of coding laws retroactively, Rulemapping captures them right from the start in a machine-readable, visually logical structure. A shared language between law, administration, and technology is being established: Law as Code. Legal changes can be reflected in digital processes without costly redevelopment—updated in real time, as easily as a smartphone app update.
Rule AI
Law as Code also lays the foundation for end-to-end decision automation and the use of artificial intelligence. Only when laws are translated into machine-readable logic can processes be reliably automated. Humans still make the final decision—while the so-called Rule AI functions as a reliable assistant.
That's why we need Rulemapping!
Rulemapping streamlines the way regulations are converted into digital processes. Routine decisions can run automatically and transparently, speeding up procedures significantly while taking pressure off the entire system.
